Description:

Surge protector (SPD) is a DC side surge protection device designed specifically for new energy wind and solar power generation systems. Adopting a plug-in modular design, it supports a working voltage of 500V/800V/1000V and a current capacity of 40kA, effectively protecting against indirect lightning strikes, direct lightning strikes, or other transient overvoltage impacts on DC circuits. The product has a dual hot melt overcurrent protection mechanism and displays the operating status (green normal/red fault) through a visual status window. It also provides a remote communication interface, supports remote transmission of fault alarm signals, and integrates with the monitoring system to achieve intelligent operation and maintenance.

Applications:

This product is mainly used in the DC circuit main power supply terminal of new energy generation systems, including:

Photovoltaic power generation system: protects key equipment such as the DC side of the photovoltaic array and the front end of the inverter from lightning strikes and surges.

Wind power generation system: protect the DC bus and supporting electrical equipment of the wind turbine inverter.

Other DC power supply systems: suitable for DC circuit scenarios that require lightning protection, such as energy storage systems and charging station DC modules.

When the line experiences transient high amplitude surges due to lightning strikes or overvoltage operations, the nonlinear components inside the protector (such as varistors or gas discharge tubes) quickly respond and switch from a high resistance state to a low resistance state in nanoseconds, placing the overvoltage clamp within a safe range and discharging the surge current to the ground, thereby protecting the insulation of the backend equipment from damage.

To ensure transportation safety, our electrical products are exported in reinforced wooden crates. The crates undergo heat treatment and bear the ISPM-15 mark, enabling swift customs clearance. The raised base design facilitates forklift operation, while internal shock-absorbing fastening ensures the products arrive intact. All exterior crates are clearly labeled and comply with international logistics standards.
